AI at work: the ground rules
AI tools can save you real time. A few simple habits keep your business, your clients and you out of trouble.
- Use the AI tool your business has approved, signed in with your work account — not a personal one.
- Never paste passwords, bank or card details, health information or customers’ personal details into a public AI tool.
- Remove or change names and identifying details before asking AI for help with a real situation.
- Check every fact, figure, name and date before you use or send anything AI wrote.
- You own the output. Read it properly before it goes to a client or colleague.
- Don’t let an AI tool send, pay, delete or share anything without you checking first.
- Not sure whether something is OK to paste? Ask before you paste, not after.
