Turn on Find My on your phone
If your phone goes missing, Find My lets you locate, lock or wipe it remotely. It only works if it’s switched on beforehand.
- On iPhone, open Settings → your name → Find My and turn on Find My iPhone.
- On Android, open Settings → Security and enable Find My Device.
- Make sure location services are on so the phone can actually be located.
- Confirm you know the Apple ID or Google account password you’d need to use it.
- Test it once from another device or the web so you know how it works before you need it.
