Spot a fake or clone app
Scammers publish convincing copies of popular and banking apps. A few checks before you tap Install save a lot of grief.
- Check the developer name matches the real company, not a near-miss spelling.
- Read recent reviews and the download count — a real bank app has millions, a clone almost none.
- Be wary of an app demanding permissions or logins far beyond what it should need.
- Reach the bank’s app via a link on the bank’s official website, not a search ad or message.
- Delete anything that looks off and report it to the store.
