Hide sensitive notifications on the lock screen

By default, codes and messages can show on your lock screen for anyone nearby to read. A quick setting hides the content until you unlock.

  1. Open Settings → Notifications.
  2. Set previews to ’When Unlocked’ (iPhone) or hide sensitive content (Android).
  3. Pay attention to banking, authenticator and messaging apps — those previews leak codes.
  4. Confirm a one-time code no longer shows in full on the lock screen.
  5. Keep biometric unlock on so reading your own notifications stays quick.

Still stuck after those?

You’ve done the right thing by trying. Send whedo.it a quick note — what you tried, what you saw — and a senior pair of eyes will be on it the same business day.
