Protect your eSIM and number from porting fraud

Your phone number is a key to your accounts. Porting protections stop someone moving it to their device.

  1. Add a port-authorisation PIN or lock with your carrier so your number can’t be moved without it.
  2. Treat any unexpected ’your number is being transferred’ message as an alarm, not a formality.
  3. Keep your carrier account password strong and unique.
  4. Move important account codes from SMS to an authenticator app where you can.
  5. If your service drops unexpectedly and won’t return, contact your carrier at once.

Still stuck after those?

You’ve done the right thing by trying. Send whedo.it a quick note — what you tried, what you saw — and a senior pair of eyes will be on it the same business day.
