Protect your eSIM and number from porting fraud
Your phone number is a key to your accounts. Porting protections stop someone moving it to their device.
- Add a port-authorisation PIN or lock with your carrier so your number can’t be moved without it.
- Treat any unexpected ’your number is being transferred’ message as an alarm, not a formality.
- Keep your carrier account password strong and unique.
- Move important account codes from SMS to an authenticator app where you can.
- If your service drops unexpectedly and won’t return, contact your carrier at once.
