Block and report scam calls and texts

You won’t stop every scam call, but blocking and reporting trims the flow and helps others.

  1. Don’t engage — hang up on a scam call and don’t reply to a scam text, even with ’STOP’.
  2. Use your phone’s block-and-report option on the offending number.
  3. Forward scam texts to 7726 (which spells SPAM) to report them to your carrier.
  4. Report scams to Scamwatch at scamwatch.gov.au to feed the national picture.
  5. Turn on your phone’s built-in spam and silence-unknown-callers filters.

Still stuck after those?

You’ve done the right thing by trying. Send whedo.it a quick note — what you tried, what you saw — and a senior pair of eyes will be on it the same business day.
