Block and report scam calls and texts
You won’t stop every scam call, but blocking and reporting trims the flow and helps others.
- Don’t engage — hang up on a scam call and don’t reply to a scam text, even with ’STOP’.
- Use your phone’s block-and-report option on the offending number.
- Forward scam texts to 7726 (which spells SPAM) to report them to your carrier.
- Report scams to Scamwatch at scamwatch.gov.au to feed the national picture.
- Turn on your phone’s built-in spam and silence-unknown-callers filters.
