Secure your banking app
Your phone is your bank branch now. A few settings keep it that way for you and nobody else.
- Only install your bank’s app from the official App Store or Google Play — never a link in a text or email.
- Turn on biometric or PIN unlock for the app itself, not just the phone.
- Keep the app and your phone’s operating system updated so security fixes land.
- Never approve a login or payment prompt you didn’t personally start.
- Log out and contact your bank if the app ever behaves oddly or asks for unusual permissions.
