Flush or change your DNS

DNS turns site names into addresses. Flushing clears bad cached entries; changing it can fix sites that won’t load.

  1. To flush, open Command Prompt and run ipconfig /flushdns, then try the site again.
  2. To change DNS, open Settings → Network & internet → your connection → Hardware properties.
  3. Next to DNS server assignment, click Edit and switch to Manual.
  4. Turn on IPv4 and enter a public DNS, for example 1.1.1.1 (Cloudflare) or 8.8.8.8 (Google).
  5. Save, then reload the site; revert to Automatic if anything stops working.

Still stuck after those?
