Keep your buy-now-pay-later account secure

A hijacked Afterpay or Zip account is effectively a line of credit in someone else’s hands. Lock it down like a bank account.

  1. Set a strong, unique password and turn on two-factor authentication if the provider offers it.
  2. Switch on purchase notifications so a payment you didn’t make pings you straight away.
  3. Review linked cards and bank accounts and remove any you no longer use.
  4. Never approve a login or payment prompt you didn’t start — that’s someone else trying to get in.
  5. If you spot an order you didn’t place, contact the provider and your linked bank immediately.

Still stuck after those?

You’ve done the right thing by trying. Send whedo.it a quick note — what you tried, what you saw — and a senior pair of eyes will be on it the same business day.
