Keep your buy-now-pay-later account secure
A hijacked Afterpay or Zip account is effectively a line of credit in someone else’s hands. Lock it down like a bank account.
- Set a strong, unique password and turn on two-factor authentication if the provider offers it.
- Switch on purchase notifications so a payment you didn’t make pings you straight away.
- Review linked cards and bank accounts and remove any you no longer use.
- Never approve a login or payment prompt you didn’t start — that’s someone else trying to get in.
- If you spot an order you didn’t place, contact the provider and your linked bank immediately.
