Record your screen with audio

For a quick how-to or a bug you want to show, a screen recording with narration says it in seconds. Windows can do this built in.

  1. Open the Snipping Tool from Start and switch to record (video camera) mode.
  2. Click New and drag to select the area of the screen to capture.
  3. Turn on the microphone option if you want to narrate, and check the level.
  4. Click Start, do your demo, then click Stop.
  5. Click Save to keep the MP4, which lands in Videos → Screen Recordings, ready to share.

Still stuck after those?

You’ve done the right thing by trying. Send whedo.it a quick note — what you tried, what you saw — and a senior pair of eyes will be on it the same business day.
