Turn on noise suppression
Noise suppression filters keyboard clatter and background hum so people hear your voice. On by default, but worth checking.
- In Teams, open Settings → Noise suppression (under Devices or Calls).
- Set it to Auto for everyday calls, which adapts to your surroundings.
- Choose High when you’re somewhere noisy, such as a cafe or open office.
- Note High can clip music or other voices, so use Low or Off if you’re sharing audio deliberately.
- Other apps like Zoom have the same setting under their audio options.
