Turn on noise suppression

Noise suppression filters keyboard clatter and background hum so people hear your voice. On by default, but worth checking.

  1. In Teams, open Settings → Noise suppression (under Devices or Calls).
  2. Set it to Auto for everyday calls, which adapts to your surroundings.
  3. Choose High when you’re somewhere noisy, such as a cafe or open office.
  4. Note High can clip music or other voices, so use Low or Off if you’re sharing audio deliberately.
  5. Other apps like Zoom have the same setting under their audio options.

Still stuck after those?

You’ve done the right thing by trying. Send whedo.it a quick note — what you tried, what you saw — and a senior pair of eyes will be on it the same business day.
