Use virtual desktops to separate your work

Virtual desktops give you extra clean workspaces, for example one for email and one for a project. Nothing is installed.

  1. Press Win + Tab to open Task view.
  2. Click New desktop at the top to add another workspace.
  3. Drag a window onto a desktop thumbnail to move it there, or open new apps while that desktop is active.
  4. Switch quickly with Win + Ctrl + Left/Right arrow.
  5. Close a desktop with the X on its thumbnail; its windows move to the desktop on the left, nothing is lost.

Still stuck after those?

You’ve done the right thing by trying. Send whedo.it a quick note — what you tried, what you saw — and a senior pair of eyes will be on it the same business day.
