Use breakout rooms to split a meeting into groups

Breakout rooms divide attendees into smaller spaces for group work, then bring them back. Only the organiser sets them up.

  1. As organiser, in the meeting open Breakout rooms (Rooms) in the toolbar.
  2. Choose how many rooms and whether to assign people automatically or manually.
  3. Assign participants, then Open to send everyone into their rooms.
  4. Hop between rooms to check in, and broadcast a message to all rooms when needed.
  5. Set a timer if you want rooms to close automatically.
  6. Choose Close rooms to bring everyone back to the main meeting.
