Reset or repair a misbehaving app

When a Store or built-in app crashes or won’t open, repairing it usually fixes it without losing your sign-in.

  1. Open Settings → Apps → Installed apps.
  2. Find the app, click the three dots next to it, and choose Advanced options.
  3. Click Repair first, as this keeps the app’s data.
  4. If it still misbehaves, click Reset, which clears the app’s data and signs you out of it.
  5. Restart the app; if it’s still broken, uninstall and reinstall it from the Microsoft Store.

Still stuck after those?
