Reset network settings on Windows

When nothing else clears a stubborn connection problem, a network reset wipes the slate. Use it as a last resort.

  1. Save your Wi-Fi password somewhere first, as this removes saved networks.
  2. Open Settings → Network & internet → Advanced network settings.
  3. Click Network reset, then Reset now and confirm.
  4. Let Windows restart, which it will prompt for within a few minutes.
  5. Reconnect to your Wi-Fi and re-enter the password; reinstall any VPN if it was removed.

Still stuck after those?
