My phone doesn’t see new emails
Almost always background-app-refresh, a stale auth token, or a network issue.
- Open Outlook on the phone, pull down on the inbox to force a refresh. If new mail appears, the issue was just push notifications — check background refresh.
- iOS: Settings → Outlook → turn on Background App Refresh.
- Android: long-press Outlook icon → App info → Battery → Unrestricted.
- If pull-to-refresh shows nothing and you know there’s new mail in Outlook on the web: sign out (tap initials → gear → account → sign out) and sign back in.
- If still nothing, remove the account and re-add it. Last-resort restart the phone.
