Quieten or manage a noisy chat
A busy group chat doesn’t have to keep buzzing. You can mute, pin or tidy it without leaving.
- Find the chat in the list, open its More (...) menu, and choose Mute to stop notifications while staying in it.
- Pin important chats to the top of the list from the same menu so they don’t get lost.
- Hide a chat you don’t need right now — it returns if someone messages you.
- Adjust per-chat notification settings if you want only @mentions to alert you.
- For a chat that’s run its course, leave the group (you can’t leave a one-to-one chat).
- Unmute or unpin anytime from the same menu.
