Use Teams inside AVD

Teams in AVD needs the optimised mode to handle audio and video well, or calls stutter. Mostly an IT setup, with a few user checks.

  1. Open Teams inside the session and start a test call from Settings → Devices → Make a test call.
  2. Confirm your microphone, speaker, and camera are the right devices in those settings.
  3. If video is choppy or audio echoes, your session may not be running optimised Teams, which is an IT fix.
  4. Plug headsets in before connecting to AVD so they’re available to the session.
  5. For important meetings on a weak connection, dial in by phone as a backup or join from your local PC instead.
