Save files to the right place in AVD
The C: drive inside AVD is often temporary and can be wiped when you sign out. Save to OneDrive or a share instead.
- Treat the session’s C: drive and Desktop as temporary unless IT has told you otherwise.
- Save work to OneDrive, your mapped network drive, or your Documents if it redirects to OneDrive.
- When using Save As, pick OneDrive or the network location, not a local C: folder.
- If unsure where a folder really lives, ask IT which paths persist on your setup.
- Before signing out, double-check important files are in a saved, synced location, not just open on the desktop.
