Disconnect from AVD without logging out

There’s a difference: Disconnect keeps your session running for next time; Sign out kills it.

  1. Disconnect (recommended for short breaks): close the AVD window. Your apps and documents stay open in the session. Reconnect later and you’re right where you left off.
  2. Sign out (end of day or after a big change): inside AVD, click Start → your name → Sign out. The session is cleaned up.
  3. If your AVD policy has an idle-disconnect (usually 90 minutes), the session pauses automatically.
  4. If your AVD policy has a max-session limit (usually 12 hours), it’ll sign you out anyway.

Still stuck after those?

You’ve done the right thing by trying. Send whedo.it a quick note — what you tried, what you saw — and a senior pair of eyes will be on it the same business day.
