Use colour categories and flags to organise mail

Categories tag items by colour so you can group and find them; flags mark things for follow-up. They work across mail, calendar and tasks.

  1. Right-click a message and choose Categorise to apply or create a colour category.
  2. Rename categories to something meaningful (Client, Invoices, Urgent) the first time you use them.
  3. Click the flag icon on a message to mark it for follow-up, and set a due date if you want a reminder.
  4. Sort or filter by category using the column header or the Filter/Arrange options.
  5. Flagged items also appear in your To Do list and Tasks for a single follow-up view.
  6. Clear a flag by clicking it again, or mark it complete when done.
