Find and use a shared mailbox I’ve been given access to

Shared mailboxes (like accounts@ or info@) appear automatically once whedo.it grants you access. You don’t need a separate password.

  1. Wait a short while after access is granted — it can take up to an hour to appear, then restart Outlook.
  2. In the folder list, the shared mailbox usually appears automatically below your own.
  3. If it doesn’t, in new Outlook or the web use ’Add shared folder or mailbox’ and type its address.
  4. To send as the mailbox, click From in a new email and pick the shared address (you may need to add it once).
  5. Replies sent this way come from the shared address, not your personal one — check before sending.
  6. If you can’t see it or send as it, contact whedo.it to confirm your permissions.

Still stuck after those?

You’ve done the right thing by trying. Send whedo.it a quick note — what you tried, what you saw — and a senior pair of eyes will be on it the same business day.
