Recall or undo a message I just sent

Recall only works when both you and the recipient are inside the whedo.it organisation, and only if they haven’t opened it yet. External mail can’t be recalled.

  1. Act quickly — once a message is read, recall fails and the recipient is told you tried.
  2. Open your Sent Items and double-click the message you want to pull back.
  3. Open the ... (more actions) menu and choose Recall, or in classic Outlook use Message → Actions → Recall This Message.
  4. Choose to delete unread copies, or replace it with a new message.
  5. Watch for the recall status report — it tells you per recipient whether it worked.
  6. For external recipients or anything already opened, send a brief follow-up correction instead.

Still stuck after those?

You’ve done the right thing by trying. Send whedo.it a quick note — what you tried, what you saw — and a senior pair of eyes will be on it the same business day.
